You're invited to The Space

Maybe you're not as lost as you think

The Space is a free 8-week wellbeing programme for men, every Monday from 19 October at Project Colt in Elland

Request a place

What is The Space?

Eight weeks. A small group of men. A couple of hours each week to step away from the noise and look at some of the things we can all get caught up in: stress, overthinking, anxiety, pressure, the stories we tell ourselves.

The Space isn't about giving you techniques or telling you how to think. It's somewhere to slow things down, get curious, and notice things you might not have seen before.

No judgement. No labels. No pressure.

What The Space is

  • An 8-week, non-clinical wellbeing programme for men
  • A small group, no more than 10
  • A chance to slow down, listen, talk if you want to, and look at things differently
  • Somewhere curiosity matters more than having the answers

What The Space isn't

  • Therapy or counselling, or a crisis service
  • Somewhere you're diagnosed, assessed, or told what's wrong with you
  • A programme where you're forced to share personal things
  • Eight weeks of being told what to think, feel or believe

What to expect during a session

Nothing complicated. You can talk. You can listen. You can ask questions. Or you can just have a brew and take it all in. Nobody's put on the spot, and you don't need to arrive with a story ready.

The Space is about creating room for insight, moments where you see something for yourself that you hadn't quite seen before. Nobody can tell you what that insight should be. That's the point. It's yours.

What we ask of you

Mostly, just that you come as you are, but there are some things to keep in mind:

  • Treat the other men in the room with respect
  • Keep what others share private
  • Join in as much or as little as feels right for you
  • Commit to the full eight weeks if you can

Who The Space is for

Maybe life's been feeling a bit heavy lately. Maybe you're stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, stuck in your head, or just fed up of overthinking everything.

Or maybe you're simply curious. Curious about yourself, how we experience life, and whether there might be another way of seeing things.

You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need to have everything figured out. And you definitely don't need to wait until life gets really difficult.

Wherever you're at, The Space starts from a simple place: there's nothing about you that needs fixing.

The Space is for men aged 18+ in Calderdale. If you're curious about whether life could feel a little lighter, you're welcome to request a place.

Your eight weeks

There isn't a big syllabus to work through, or a list of things you need to remember. Across the eight weeks, we'll get curious together about some of the things that can make being human feel complicated, like:

  • Why we get so caught up in our heads
  • Why some thoughts have such a hold on us
  • Why trying hard to feel better can sometimes make things worse

And we'll look the other way too; what if there's more resilience in you than you realise? What if feeling lost doesn't mean you are?

You don't need to understand any of that before you come. That's what The Space is for.

What you might take from it

That'll probably be different for everyone, and that's kind of the point. You might notice when you're getting caught up in your own head a little sooner. You might see stress differently. Or one conversation might simply land in a way that stays with you.

Every Monday, 19 October to 7 December, 6pm to 8pm.

“You don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes you just need the space to see”

Dan Keane, host of The Space and founder of Lost & Found Wellbeing

Meet your host

I'm Dan, a wellbeing coach and founder of Lost & Found Wellbeing CIC.

For more than a decade, I've worked alongside people in care, wellbeing, mentoring and support settings. A huge part of that time has been spent having conversations with people who are struggling, stuck, searching for answers, or simply trying to make a bit more sense of life.

My own life and my work as a coach have made me increasingly curious about what it is that people are really looking for.

We all want to feel okay, to enjoy our lives, to have some peace in our own heads. Yet we can spend so much time trying to get there: fixing ourselves, battling with our thinking, trying to work everything out.

Over time, I've become fascinated by seeing more clearly that what we're searching for isn't as far away as it sometimes feels. That curiosity is a big part of why I created Lost & Found and The Space.

I'm not here to tell people how to live, or give them another version of themselves to work towards. As a coach, I'm much more interested in creating the space for people to get curious, have their own insights, and see something for themselves.

Because maybe we're not as lost as we think we are.

Is it therapy?

No. The Space is a non-clinical wellbeing programme, not therapy or counselling. Nobody will diagnose you, assess you or tell you what's wrong with you.

It isn't a crisis service either. If you need urgent support, you can call Samaritans free, any time, on 116 123.

What kind of programme is this?

Just yourself. There's nothing to prepare, and you don't need to arrive with a story ready.

Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains how Lost and Found Wellbeing CIC uses the details you give us when you request a place on The Space, and what happens when you visit this page. We've kept it as plain as we can. If anything isn't clear, just ask.

Who we are

Lost and Found Wellbeing CIC runs The Space. We're the "data controller" for your details, which means we decide how they're used and we're responsible for looking after them.

  • Company number 17082865, registered in England and Wales
  • Registered office: 69 Savile Park Road, Halifax, England, HX1 2XR
  • Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), number ZC254895
  • Email: lostandfound.wellbeing@outlook.com

What we collect

When you fill in the form to request a place, we collect your name, phone number and email address. We only receive these if you send the form. Along with them, our website host automatically records your IP address and the type of browser you used, which helps filter out spam.

The Space is for adults aged 18 and over, so we don't knowingly collect details from anyone younger.

Why we use your details

To arrange your place on the programme, so Dan knows who has asked to join and how to reach them. That means giving you a ring to have a chat and confirm your place, and getting in touch about the programme while it runs, for example if a session has to move.

We won't use your details for marketing, and we'll never sell them.

You don't have to give us your details, but without them we can't contact you about a place.

Our lawful basis

Data protection law says we need a lawful reason to use your details. Ours is "legitimate interests": we have a genuine reason to use them (arranging a place you've asked for), you'd expect us to use them this way, and we only collect what we need. You can object at any time (see Your rights).

Who can see your details

Dan, who runs The Space, is the only person at Lost and Found who uses them. We also use two services to receive and store them:

  • Netlify, which hosts this website. When you send the form, Netlify stores your submission and emails a copy to Dan. Netlify only handles it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement.
  • Microsoft, which provides Dan's email account (Outlook), where those email copies are kept. Microsoft's own privacy statement covers how it handles email.

ByKris, who built and looks after this website, may see form submissions while maintaining the site or fixing a problem, but doesn't use or keep them for anything else.

We don't share your details with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Where your details are stored

Netlify and Microsoft are based in the United States, so your details may be stored there. Both are certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK Government recognises as giving your details an adequate level of protection when they're sent to certified US companies.

How long we keep your details

Only as long as we need them. We delete your submission from Netlify, and the email copies from Dan's inbox, no later than three months after the programme ends. If you don't end up joining, we delete them within three months of our last contact with you.

Once deleted, emails are permanently removed from Microsoft's systems within about 60 days. Netlify may keep backup copies for a limited time before those are permanently deleted too.

Visiting this page

This website doesn't use cookies, with one exception that's your choice: the map in "Where and when". The map is provided by Google and only loads if you select "View map". When it loads, Google may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, as explained in Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab). You can hide the map again at any time, and clear any cookies Google set in your browser's settings.

Like any website host, Netlify automatically processes technical information such as your IP address when you visit, to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you.

Links to other websites, like Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Visitor statistics

To see how the page is doing and improve it, we count visits using Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect anything that identifies you. It records things like which pages are viewed, the website you came from, your type of browser and device, your country, and whether buttons like "Request a place" are used or a request is sent. It never records anything you type into the form. Each visit is given a scrambled code that changes every month, so we can't follow you over time or tell who you are.

Umami processes this on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, on servers in the EU and the United States. The statistics are kept for up to six months. The law allows analytics like this without asking first, as long as we tell you about it and you can easily opt out.

If your browser is set to send a "Do Not Track" request, your visits aren't counted. You can also switch visitor statistics off here:

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal details we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
  • Ask us to delete your details
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your details
  • Object to us using your details

If you ask us to delete your details or object to us using them, we won't be able to arrange your place.

To use any of these rights, email lostandfound.wellbeing@outlook.com. We'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first by emailing lostandfound.wellbeing@outlook.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and let you know the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator:

Data breaches

If a personal data breach poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we're required to report it to the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. If it's likely to put you at high risk personally, we'll also tell you directly as soon as reasonably possible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Any changes apply from the date they're published.
